Cookie Policy
This page explains which cookies and similar technologies (such as browser local storage, treated under the same ePrivacy principles) fungodate.com uses, for what purposes, and how you can manage your preferences. The Italian storefront is fungodate.it; Shopify checkout may set additional cookies on its own surfaces.
Last updated: 29 October 20261. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a site saves on your device to remember information between visits (e.g. the contents of your cart) or to collect statistical information. The same rules apply to other local storage technologies, such as local storage.
2. First-party technical and preference storage
The entries marked technical/necessary support the cart, consent recording, server-side consent verification or security and are active as needed. The market-choice entry is optional preference storage and is created only after the corresponding consent. The exact classification of provider-controlled checkout technologies must be checked on Shopify.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| fdt_cart_id | First-party technical HTTP cookie, HttpOnly | Remembers your cart contents between pages | 30 days, as configured by Hydrogen |
| fdt_cookie_consent | Technical (local storage) | Remembers your cookie choice, its date and the policy version, so we don't ask again until something changes | Until revoked or the browser data is manually cleared |
| fdt_consent_v1 | Technical (signed HTTP cookie, httpOnly) | Carries the verified consent state to the Hydrogen server so Meta CAPI is fail-closed | Up to 1 year or until revoked |
| fdt_market_choice_v2 | Preference (local storage) | Remembers the market selected in the location prompt after Preferences consent; no analytics or advertising | Until revoked or the browser data is manually cleared |
| Turnstile cookies/session | Cloudflare technical/security technology | Anti-abuse verification on newsletter and withdrawal forms | Variable according to Cloudflare and browser; not fixed in this code |
| fdt_newsletter_popup | First-party local storage | Remembers the newsletter popup state after interaction | Until browser storage is cleared |
| fdt_intro_seen | First-party session storage | Prevents the introductory animation from repeating in the same browser session | Until the browser session ends or storage is cleared |
3. Statistics cookies (only after you accept)
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand visits, paths and ecommerce interactions in an aggregate/pseudonymous way. This is not described as anonymous processing: Google may receive technical and identifier signals according to its documentation and the configured consent state. Refusing or withdrawing consent removes first-party Google Analytics cookies that this storefront can delete and stops new Hydrogen analytics events.
Your choice is also passed to Shopify's Customer Privacy API and Google Consent Mode. Marketing technologies remain blocked until you explicitly authorise the Marketing category.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics 4 | Distinguishes visitors for analytics | Up to 2 years according to Google; browser/configuration dependent |
| _ga_<container-id> | Google Analytics 4 | Keeps measurement session state | Up to 2 years according to Google; browser/configuration dependent |
4. Marketing technologies (only after you accept)
With your consent, Google Ads measurement/remarketing and Meta product-event measurement may be loaded. Hydrogen sends ViewContent, AddToCart and InitiateCheckout to Meta's Conversions API only after signed server consent confirms Marketing consent; PageView and Purchase remain with Shopify's Meta integration. TikTok marketing events may be handled by the Shopify integration. The repository contains no Klaviyo.js onsite tracking script: Klaviyo is called server-side for newsletter subscription and digital withdrawal request flows. The exact Shopify app-pixel behaviour must be checked in Customer Events. These technologies are not loaded by Hydrogen before the relevant consent.
| Technology | Provider | Purpose | Duration / status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Meta Pixel / _fbp / _fbc | Meta / Shopify integration | Product-event measurement, attribution and event matching | Not created by Hydrogen; provider/Shopify configuration dependent |
| Meta Conversions API | Meta | Server-side ViewContent, AddToCart and InitiateCheckout event matching | No browser cookie created by this endpoint; server/provider retention is not controlled by Hydrogen |
| Google Ads | Advertising measurement, remarketing and checkout conversion integration | Provider/configuration dependent | |
| TikTok Pixel or app events | TikTok / Shopify integration | Marketing measurement and advertising optimisation | Not present in Hydrogen repository; verify in Shopify Customer Events |
| Klaviyo tracking cookie (e.g. __kla_id) | Klaviyo | Onsite identification/tracking when Klaviyo.js is enabled | Not found in Hydrogen; verify whether enabled in Shopify/Klaviyo |
5. How to manage your preferences
You can change your mind at any time by reopening the cookie preferences panel with the button below, or via the "Cookie preferences" link at the bottom of every page.
You can also block or delete cookies directly from your browser settings; the exact steps vary from browser to browser, and you'll find instructions in the relevant help page (search "manage cookies" in the settings of Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge). If you block technical cookies, some site functions — like the cart — may not work correctly.
